Live edge mirror was finished in the fall of 2023. This stunning mirror features a striking live edge frame, meticulously shaped from a single slab of premium walnut sourced directly from the picturesque Shenandoah Valley in Virginia. The mirror is uniquely designed to showcase the inherent charm of the walnut’s rich, warm tones and intricate grain patterns.
The slab has been naturally dried to enhance its durability and stability, ensuring that the mirror remains a timeless piece for years to come. Perfect for adding a touch of rustic elegance to any space, this mirror brings the serene beauty of the Shenandoah Valley.
The live edge, which preserves the raw, organic shape of the wood, adds a rustic yet sophisticated touch to any space. Walnut, known for its rich, dark tones and striking grain patterns, enhances the mirror’s aesthetic appeal. This type of mirror can serve as a focal point in various settings, from modern homes to rustic cabins, seamlessly blending with different interior styles.
One of the most appealing aspects of a walnut live edge mirror is its uniqueness. No two pieces are alike since the wood’s natural shape and grain patterns dictate the final design.
The project was completed in March 2024 in Chantily, VA. Woodwork and installation made by Alex Birch. Countertops and backsplash by our partners at Tyson's Granite. This light grey kitchen which replaced an outdated oak cabinets features a farmhouse style sink, a wine rack above the fridge, built in speed oven and microwave.
Also as a part of remodeling we made a vent going through the ceiling to the outside and replaced several square feet of rotted subfloor under the sink area. The kitchen features a large island with large drawers on one side and closed door cabinets on another.
The top of the kitchen cabinets is decorated with crown molding that was installed with precision and no gaps at all at connection points which requires accurate cuts on painted surfaces.
Project like that is considered mid grade and priced around $20-25K including cabinets, countertops and appliances. Of course price can change depending on what options the client chooses.
